We will be attending the Anzac Day Parade in Leighterton. We form up in the Primary School about 14.00 to march down for the Service at 15.00. We will RV at Hardwicke RBL at 10.00 for a gentle ride up to Leighterton where you can purchase light refreshments if you wish.
Once again Notts RBLR will be putting up our stand as the invited Military Charity for this event – Great response from the public on our last visit in January. We have been advised though that this one is extremely busy so we will probably be placed outside the venue – Suits us as we can put more bikes on the stand and put on a full spread if you lovely people can come and support us and help man the stand as usual – Early start though guys (sorry Yvonne) as we have to be set up and no vehicle move by 08:30 ready for opening to the public at 09:00 – As mentioned it’s a very early start for some and I do genuinely apologise (hence its only twice a year) but going by the last event we were packed up and leaving by 14:00hrs and home for Sunday Dinner – I think this one may be a little later if the weather is good. If outside unless we can blag entry there is a possible door charge to enter the venue inside – unfortunately the organisers have a strict two free passes only for exhibitors/sellers
Suggested RV(s): For those living near me wishing to go en-mass to Newark: ASDA Fuel Station, Northern Bridge Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield. NG17 2AH at 06:30hrs
At Venue: McDonalds, Lincoln Rd, Newark, NG24 2DB at 07:20hrs for ‘early’ breakfast then arrive at showground as a group.
** Please let me know if you are attending, which RV and if it’s your intention to bring your bike so I know how many bikes we have – If outside not an issue but if inside bike space is very limited – Many thanks **

The event officially starts at 15:00hrs in the afternoon (these timings may alter) with period re-enactors, a beer tent, children’s activities and, later in the day, two live groups and a disco, finishing around 11pm – 11.30pm. I thought we could arrive and set up our stall until late afternoon/early evening but those wishing to stay for the live music in the evening have been invited to do so. Once again looking for support for a couple of hours whilst the stand is up and running
